Andrey Kolyasnikov was born in Yekaterinburg in 1992. He graduated from the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatory, where he studied opera and symphonic conducting with Prof. Vyacheslav Kartashov.
The musician then trained under the guidance of Felix Korobov at Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He attended All-Russian master courses for young conductors by Prof. Yuri Simonov in Moscow (2018, 2019), as well as master classes by Fabio Mastrangelo and Nicolás Pasquet. <>
Andrey Kolyasnikov is a laureate of the 3rd All-Russian Music Competition in Opera and Symphony Conducting categories (2019) and a scholar of the New Names Foundation. He was also awarded Mark Paverman scholarship.
In 2015–2019, he worked at the Ural Special Music School. In 2018, the school’s symphony orchestra conducted by Andrey Kolyasnikov won the Grand Prix of the 20th Bosporus Agons International Festival of Ancient Art in Kerch.
He taught conducting at the Urals Conservatory, where he also headed the symphony orchestra (2017–2019).
Andrey Kolyasnikov has collaborated with the Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (as an assistant of conductor Oliver von Dohnányi, he took part in Turandot by Puccini), as well as with symphony and chamber orchestras of the Sverdlovsk Tchaikovsky Music College.
Since 2019, Andrey Kolyasnikov has been assistant conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra under chief conductor Yuri Simonov. He also collaborates with the St. Petersburg House of Music.
