Born in 2005 in St. Petersburg, Daniil Bessonov is currently studying at the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Professor Elena Chvertok.
He has been a prize-winner of the Savshinsky International Competition of young musicians (St. Petersburg, 2010, 1st prize) and of the World of Childhood –First Chord contest (St. Petersburg, 2010, 2nd prize). In 2015, Daniil won a special prize of the Musical Olympus Foundation, allowing him to take a course at the Zakhar Bron Academy in Switzerland. In 2016, he became the youngest participant of Denis Matsuev’s Crescendo Music Festival. <<cut>>
Daniil Bessonov has also won the Grand Prix of the 3rd National Constellation Competition for Young Musicians, as well as special prizes of other international young musicians’ competitions, including the 2nd Prize of the 19th Nutcracker International Television Contest for Young Musicians (Moscow, 2018), the 1st Prize of the 15th International Competition for Young Musicians in the String Instruments category (Moscow, 2019), to name but a few.
Apart from recitals, Daniil Bessonov also plays chamber music with his brothers and symphonic music with Russian top orchestras. He is a regular participant of music festivals both in Russia and abroad.
