Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2005 (сlass of Yevgenia Gorokhovskaya).
Prize-winner at the International Lisitsian Competition (Vladikavkaz, 2006) and the VII International Zara Dolukhanova Amber Nightingale Competition (Kaliningrad, 2008); Diploma-recipient at the International Rimsky-Korsakov Competition (St Petersburg, 2006).
From 2004 to 2016 she was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers. In 2005, she made her Mariinsky Theatre debut as Tsar's page in The Snow Maiden. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Mariinsky Opera Company. <
Ekaterina Sergeeva performed Olga in the productions of Eugene Onegin at the Mikhailovsky Theatre (directed by Vasily Barkhatov), Bayerische Staatsoper (directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski), Deutsche Oper Berlin (directed by Friedrich Goetz), and at Glyndebourne Festival (directed by Graham Vick).
As a guest soloist the singer performs at the Bolshoi Theatre. In 2015, at Leonid Desyatnikov’s music festival in Moscow, Ekaterina Sergeeva performed a solo part in The Rite of Winter 1949. She also participated in the production of the opera The Gambler on the stage of the Monte Carlo Opera.
With the Mariinsky Theatre, the singer has toured in Germany, Japan and the USA.
