Konstantin Emelyanov, born in 1994 in Krasnodar, made his first steps in music at the Krasnodar Interschool Aesthetic Centre under Tamara Krivorotova. He went on to study at the Academic College of Music of the Moscow Conservatory (class of Olga Mechetina) before becoming a student of the Conservatory itself (class of Prof. Alexander Mndoyants, then of Prof. Sergei Dorensky and his assistants Andrei Pisarev, Pavel Nersesyan and Nikolai Lugansky), and finally enrolling on the Conservatory’s graduate assistantship course under Sergei Dorensky and Nikolai Lugansky, that he finished in 2020. Further studies took him to the Rachmaninov Piano Academy in Catania (Italy) under the guidance of Prof. Epifanio Comis (2017–2018).<>
Mr. Emelyanov has been a prize-winner of international competitions, including the Competition in memory of Vladimir Horowitz (2012, Ukraine), Verona Competition (2017, Italy), and Jinji Lake Piano Competition in Suzhou (2017, China). He won the Viotti Competition in Vercelli (2017, Italy) and the 3rd All-Russian Music Competition (2018). June 2019 brought him the 3rd Prize of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
Konstantin Emelyanov's intense performance schedule has taken him to renowned venues. such as the Moscow Conservatory halls, Moscow International House of Music, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Mariinsky Concert Hall, Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Concert Hall, Carlo Felice Theater in Genova, Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Seoul Arts Center, and National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
He has participated in many festivals, including Great Sonatas of the 20th Century in Genova, Rachmaninoff Festival in Tambov, Stars on the Lake Baikal in Irkutsk, Creative Youth of the Moscow Conservatory in Moscow, Alma Mater in Suzdal, International Piano Series in Bern, Russian Culture Festival in China, and Yamaha Piano Series. His 2019 highlights included Rachmaminoff Marathon at the ArsLonga International Festival and Valery Gergiev's Zaryadye International Festival. Emelyanov also appeared at the closing gala of the 3rd International Caucasus festival The Mariinsky – Vladikavkaz and took part in the Boesendorfer Loft Philharmonic chamber music project at the ZIL Cultural Center in Moscow.
Konstantin Emelyanov has been an exclusive Yamaha artist since 2019. His collaborations have made him appear alongside Yuri Bashmet, Alexander Sladkovsky, Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Felix Korobov, Mark Kadin, Anton Lubchenko, Julian Rakhlin, Grigory Kovalevsky, Vladislav Lavrik, and Alexander Ramm.
