Spanish Mezzo soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera entrances audiences and critics around the world. She stands out for the "beauty of her voice her outstanding musicality and commanding stage presence", making the spanish mezzo one of the most relevant artists of the opera scene today. Her "hypnotizing interpretation" of Carmen has made the specialized press called her "The Carmen of the XXI Century" performing this role at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden,Bolshoi Theater,Deutsche Oper Berlin, Munich Bayerische Staatsoper, Caracalla, Sidney Opera, among many others and being recipient of the Placido Domingo Award for her interpretation of this role. <<cut>>

Ms. Herrera enjoyed great successes on 2017 with her debut as Leonore in La Favorite at Teatro Pérez Galdós (Spain), as Fenena in Nabucco next to Placido Domingo and James Conlon at Los Angeles Opera, Herodias in Salomé at the Metropolitan Opera, Cecilia in Las Golondrinas at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the RTVE Orchestra, Das Lied von der Erde with the Orquesta de Extremadura (Spain), Kindertotenlieder with Peru’s National Orchestra, Les Nuits d’Été at the Festival Casals in Puerto Rico and concerts with Plácido Domingo in México and Los Angeles. 

Other recent debuts include Eboli in Don Carlo at Teatro del Canal in Madrid, at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow as Sara in Roberto Devereaux. She brought her critically acclaimed interpretation of Salud in La Vida Breve to the Cincinnati Symphony under the baton of Juanjo Mena, and Samson & Dalilah at he Ópera de Oviedo (Spain). 

Her recital and concert work has taken her to work with some of the most relevant orchestras and conductors around the world. 

She just released her latest album of french and spanish melodies Ensueños for AIM Records. 

Other recordings include La Bruja by Chapí for Deutsche Grammophon, Dante by Granados for ASV, Tonades of the XVII & XVIII century by Robert Gerhard for Columna Musica, Mahler´s 3rd Symphony for Arte Nova, El Amor Brujo by de Falla for Naxos and Concierto Italiano by Ricardo Llorca. 

Ms. Herrera also has two DVDs to her credit - the opera Il Postino by Daniel Catán and the zarzuela Luisa Fernanda both with Plácido Domingo. 

Future engagements inlcude Rossini´s Stabat Mater with the Malaga Orchestra and Verdi´s Réquiem in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), her debut at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires as Isabella in Italiana in Algeri next to Maestro Antonello Allemandi, the premiere of La Casa de Bernarda Alba at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Florencia en el Amazonas with the Houston Grand Opera and concerts at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Grand National Theater in Lima and Auditorio Nacional del SODRE in Uruguay.
