Eclectic
french flautist Jean-Marc Goujon, who studied in Paris, has been a member of
Jean-Christophe Spinosi's Ensemble Matheus for over fifteen years. He regularly
performs with the group as soloist in famous theatres such as the Theâtre du
Châtelet, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Paris), the Royal Albert Hall and the
Wigmore Hall (London), the Mikailovsky Theatre (St Petersburg), Salzburg or the
Carnegie Hall (New York)...<<cut>>
He
is also active in jazz music as a flute and keyboard performer, playing at festivals
such as Jazz à Vannes, Musicora Paris, Vieilles Charrues (Carhaix) and Dalhalla
(Sweden). He has recorded 5 CD's, as composer, improviser or arranger.
He
is also involved in chamber music, where he performs on period instruments
(Handel sonatas with cembalist Ewald Demeyre), as well as on the modern flute
(Prokofiev sonata with pianist Vahan Mardirossian).
In
the recent past years, he was invited to perform as a solo player with the
orchestras La Scintilla, I Barrocchisti, or Orquestra Barocca Argentina, with
renowed conductors Giovanni Antonini, Diego Fasolis, and Nikolhaus Harnoncourt.
He
has recently recorded with the great soprano Cecilia Bartoli (release in Oct.
2014), and will play as soloist during her European tour with the ensemble I Barrocchisti
in Nov 2014.
