    Rem Urasin—4th Prize winner, 13th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1995). Rem Urasin took up the piano at the age of seven, studying with Marina Soukharenko at the Special Music School at the Kazan Conservatoire for 11 years. He then continued his studies at the Moscow Conservatoire with Lev Naumov class (1994-1999).

    Mr. Urasin won 1st Prize at the Young Pianists’ Chopin Competition in Moscow organized by the Chopin Society (1992), and 4th Prize at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw, in 1995. He was also awarded at piano competitions in Monte Carlo (2001) and Sydney (2004), and took part in the 2005 Van Cliburn Competition.

    He launched his stage career in 1992, following his victory in Moscow. As a result, he gave a series of concerts in Poland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Iceland. The following year, he performed with orchestras in several cities of Russia and Austria, and has since then played in Japan and Paris. In 1993, he made recordings for Polish Radio.
