"Christmas Tree"

The story is based on the play by Evgeny Schwartz, an outstanding playwright, who breathed new life into Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairytale. New flavors have been mixed into the traditional characters: The Snow Queen, Kay, Gerda and the Troll. The Snow Queen is not just cold and cruel, she genuinely likes Kay and dreams of keeping him around her forever. The Troll, her loyal servant, is putting heart and soul into his service, plotting is his true nature. The Little Robber Girl's image is absolutely charming, fusing together her recklessness, impulsiveness and loving kindness. The themes of one's family home and love capable to withstand coldness, cruelty and lust for power became central to the the play, which bursts with exciting events, heartfelt tunes and vivid colors.
