    Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra

The Orchestra was founded in 1998 and is a successor to the traditions of the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting symphony orchestras. The Orchestra is managed by a prominent representative of the Russian conducting school, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Kondrashev. The Orchestra's Conductor is Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Denis Kirpanyov.

Music performed by the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra is daily on the air not only of the Orpheus Radio, but is broadcasted by foreign members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The Orchestra recorded jingles for the Orpheus Radio to be musical arrangement of its broadcasts.

The Orchestra's most important educational mission is to popularize the music of contemporary Russian composers, many of whom were represented at the Tribune of Contemporary Music International Competition, held under the auspices of UNESCO. The Orchestra is a regular participant of the Moscow Autumn International Festival for Contemporary Music.

Russian Composers' Heritage Revival is one of the most significant projects implemented with the participation of the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra. This is a long-term multimedia project, by which has been restored and recorded the undeservedly forgotten music of Russian and Soviet composers: Anton Arensky, Nikolai Golovanov, Alexander Mosolov, Leonid Polovinkin and Georgy Catoire.

Concerts of the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra take place in the best halls of the Russian capital: Grand Hall of Moscow State Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Philharmonic Hall, Zaryadye and Philharmonia-2 Concert Halls. The Orchestra is a long-term partner of the Kremlin Ballet Theater, and a participant in festivals and large-scale cultural events on the Red Square.

The Orchestra has toured Italy, Spain, Germany, Hungary and the Sultanate of Oman.
