The second season of the "Musica sacra nova" cycle opens
On February 25, a new season of the "Musica sacra nova" subscription starts at the Tchaikovsky Hall; this year its theme is "From Art Nouveau to the first avant–garde". The program of the first concert includes rarely heard choral works by Churlenis, Lyapunov, Shimanovsky, Grechaninov, as well as one of Stravinsky's later masterpieces – a Mass for Choir and Brass – and two works by Arthur Lurie, including the Russian premiere. They will be presented by the Questa Musica Ensemble and conductor Philip Chizhevsky.
